That's what my Mom says when she's been on a trip and is pulling in the driveway ready to be home again. Not really sure when the last time she said that was but it's stuck in my head just like the way she used to come at me on school mornings with a wet rag or a cup of water when I refused to wake up and get out of bed... but I digress...
I'm just so damn happy to be coming home to Texas to play some shows on my home turf, in my wheelhouse! Playing Corpus Christi at Brewster Street Ice House on Thursday and then playing Gruene Hall on July 4th! Are you kidding me? THIS IS GOING TO ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've had these shows circled on the calendar for a while. Me and the band have been learning some new songs to share with old fans and brushing up on some old songs that we don't get to play all the time with short sets out opening for Martina. I can't wait. You better be there!
We even started playing Red, White and Blues (4th of July) last weekend so we'd be certain to be ready for the parade! "What Parade?" you ask... the parade of coming home to Texas to play some bad ass shows at a few of my favorite old haunts!!!!!!!!! That parade!
